What do I need to bring to the language school or accommodation when I arrive?

It’s always a good idea to take a copy of your booking confirmation, though your booking number along with your passport should be enough.

What is the HowJdo.com Best Price Guarantee?

It means that HowJdo.com guarantees you’re getting the best price. If you should find a better price online for the same language course within 24 hours, HowJdo.com will refund the difference, and give you a language course coupon worth 50 Euro.

Do I need a visa? How do I get it?

HowJdo.com cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, we can supply you with all the documentation you need from your school as part of your application, including a letter of acceptance and a receipt of payment of fees.

An emergency has come up. Can I cancel my booking?

We understand that sometimes plans need to be changed at short notice, which is why HowJdo.com does not charge the students any fee for changes and cancellations. However, each language school does have its own change and cancellation policy as stated at time of booking and recapped in your booking confirmation to protect itself against last-minute cancellations. If your booking is now inside the stated cancellation window the language school will be charging you in line with the terms of your booking and we will therefore be unable to refund any such charges. Can I also pay by Bank transfer?

When will I be charged for my booking?

Most HowJdo.com bookings are pre-paid and therefore charged at the time of our confirmation send by email for the course that you have enrolled for. This is so that we can continue to offer these low rates to you.

Do I need insurance?

Booking insurance is optional. However, it is advisable to book an insurance that covers you for any medical emergency you may encounter during your language travel.

Will I get my money back if my visa is denied?

Yes, you will. Please keep a copy of the visa denial letter and send it to us at least 7 days before your course start date.

Can I change or cancel my non-refundable booking?

Please check the terms and conditions of your booking before you book your course or accommodation, and only book a non-refundable course if you’re certain of your plans. If you choose to cancel a non-refundable booking, you will unfortunately not be entitled to any refund from the language school. You are also unable to change your non-refundable booking without the language school applying a change fee as per the terms and conditions stated at the time of booking and on your booking confirmation.

What is HowJdo.com Special Rate programme?

How do I get a receipt for my language course booking?

A receipt for your language programme booking is easy to locate: After you have made your booking, we will send you a confirmation email, which also serves as your receipt.

How do I write a student review about a language school?

HowJdo.com values all feedback and urges the students to leave reviews on the language school they have stayed at to help other students with planning their language programme.

A Students review can be left in the following ways:
1. After you have completed your stay, you will receive an email from HowJdo.com with a link that will allow you to leave your feedback
2. If you have an account with us and have completed your stay, you can leave a review by accessing your booking via the Sign in link on our website.

Can I book a course without accommodation?

Yes. If you wish to do so, you can arrange your own accommodation and only book the course.

How do you select your host families?

Host families are carefully selected and controlled by the schools themselves. They have experience hosting foreign students and work with the schools on a regular basis. Homestay accommodation comprises not only of families but also of private homes with a couple or a single person without children.

When do I get my accommodation details?

Normally we send you the full accommodation details one or two weeks before the arrival.
